Property: White amorphous powder, odorless and tasteless. Insoluble in water and alcohol. Slightly soluble in ammonia. Soluble in dilute acids and sodium hydroxide. Interacting with 30% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), it releases carbon dioxide (CO2) to form a peroxide. Relative density 4.42-4.45. Fluorescence can occur when heated at 250-500 ℃ for different times and cooled to room temperature. The thermal decomposition temperature of zinc carbonate is 350 ℃. Zinc carbonate emits some carbon dioxide at 90 ℃ and completely decomposes within 1 hour at 350 ℃.

Usage: Basic zinc carbonate is used as a light astringent and raw material for latex products. It is used in the preparation of calamine lotion, as a skin protector, and can also be used in the production of artificial silk and catalytic desulfurization agents.
