Characteristics and Application: UV-1130 is a benzotriazole type ultraviolet light absorber used in the paint industry. This product is easy to emulsify and is particularly suitable for water-based systems. With high temperature resistance and extraction resistance, UV-1130 is very suitable for fields with high weather resistance requirements such as automotive paint and industrial paint. It can also provide sufficient protection for light sensitive substrates such as wood. In toluene solution, the cell thickness is 1cm and the maximum absorption wavelength is 346nm.

The combination of UV-1130 and hindered amine light stabilizers UV-144292 or UV-123 can significantly improve the weather resistance of the coating. The synergistic effect will make automotive coatings work better and have a good inhibitory effect on loss of gloss, cracks, blistering, detachment, and discoloration. The best effect and addition volume should be obtained through a series of experiments by users.

Suggested dosage (relative to resin solids): 1-3% UV-1130; Additionally, 0.5-2% UV-292, UV-144, or UV-123 can be added.

Storage and packaging of UV-1130 as an industrial chemical should strictly follow preventive measures: avoid contact with skin, wear eye masks to avoid eye irritation.
